Members of The Rotary Club of Tarporley preparing for the second annual big event on SUNDAY 7th September at the NEW VENUE.
The ever popular Sunday Donation Horse Ride is back again once more this year at the new start location.
All proceeds are shared between Tarporley War Memorial Hospital, St. Luke's Hospice (Winsford), The Clwyd Special Riding Centre, and other charites supported by The Rotary Club of Tarporley.
THE COURSE is approximately 9 miles long, in a delightful part of Cheshire, with options for short-cuts, passing through Primrose Woods and over open fields rarely availale to horse riders. There are also some country road sections. The route undulates with ample opportunity to exercise your horse, while enjoying magnificent views of the Cheshire plain. ALL jumps are optional, as is jumping them twice of more if you wish (providing you don't interfere with other riders' enjoyment of the course!)
LOCATION:
The start and finish points are at Utkinton Lodge Farm, Utkinton Lane, Cotebrook, CW6 0JH nr Tarporley. (OS Map 117 ref SJ568654). Reached from the A49 between Tarporley and Warrington, turning off to the West where signed in Cotebrook, 2 miles north of Tarporley.

Aged 10 and over - £12.
under 10s - £8. (Cheques to Rotary Club of Tarporley)
TIME:
First riders started out at 10:00. Last start time: 2:00p.m. No specific times allotted.
ENTRY FORMS: All riders MUST complete an ENTRY FORM. This can be downloaded HERE. These can be returned by post before the event with your donation, or on the day BEFORE you ride. ALL riders MUST register with the course secretary on the field BEFORE mounting or starting.
WHY DO IT?
- Each Rider will receive a free rosette and drink on completion.
- Many people enjoy it so much they come back year after year.
- It's good for you, its good for your horse, it raises money for charity.
- We hope to be selling burgers etc on the field so you can get a cheap day out with lunch!
- We will again have an action equestrian phpotographer on the course, sou you will be able to buy a photograph of your horse at one of the jumps.
- You get to ride on fields, in woods, on paths and roads.
